.22 SSS Testimonials

One of my demonstrators went out yesterday to show some farmers a pocket rifle. They were having trouble with beavers. The weapon he had used was the normal 10/22 barrel, shortened to 5.5" and ported, with a can on it. His first shot at 150 yards nailed and killed a beaver with one SSS round. His second SSS round at 100 yards killed the second beaver. The farmers were astonished. He didn't shoot any more, he just left.

I participate in SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) events. We use side by side (SxS) shotguns and pump-hammer type shot guns such as the model '97 Winchester. I have been using the 12ga minishells for a couple of years now while competing. Some of the 'Cowboys' laughed at me as first and made comments like, "What will those itty bitty shells be when they grow up?" When I started placing in the top ranks of the shooters, knocking over steel targets, they started to take notice. It has allowed several shooters that are recoil sensitive to compete with ease. Two of our regular shooters have has rotator cuff surgery and the minishells are now their standard load. The shells have given me an edge in recovery and reloading time as the shells just slide out of my polished chambers as the SxS's are not allowed to have 'ejectors', but extractors only. I have competed using the minishells in a '97 clone with 100% results.

Standard Velocity

I've been shooting this ammo I got from you for most of the summer. It's fantastic and shoots as well as other ammo costing twice as much. (I won't mention the brand). I have yet to have a failure to fire with Aguila SV, and I've shot a lot of it. This was never the case with Brand X ammo costing 2X what the SV costs.

Tonight our local pistol club started our winter Bull's-eye shots and I took some boxes of the Aguila SV for other shooters to try. They couldn't believe it's accuracy, and all of them had the ammo costing more than 2X the Aguila on the benches in front of them. After a few strings of the Aguila SV had been shot, I had other shooters on the line coming up and asking to try some - but by then I'd run out of all that I'd brought to give away.

Super Colibri Testimonials

Congratulations on the new Super Colibri 22 cartridge from Aguila!!!! About one year ago I was praising the standard Colibri cartridge, adding that I hoped Aguila would add a little more power. Someone heard me! For the Super Colibri the results are in; keep up the good work!

Taking the Super Colibri to my timbered property, I was eager to try it on my ongoing pest control (read chipmunk) problem. Finding one hiding in the brush, I lined the crosshairs of my .22 rifle on the face (a narrow target at best) and pulled the trigger. After a small "pop" the chipmunk fell backwards quite dead. The cartridge did just what I wanted it to do; accurately place the bullet right into its mouth without over penetrating.

Subsonic Ammo - Rimfire Testimonials

I tried a couple of boxes of the Aguila .22 LR 38 gr. Subsonic hollow points for squirrel hunting last fall and now it's the only thing I use for all my small game hunting.  Quiet, reliable, effective and pleasingly accurate, I don't think there is a better small game bullet on the market. I've introduced several of my shooting friends to it and they all love it. Oh, and that Eley-prime smell is like fine perfume to this shooter's nose.
