Jesse’s Story

I started competing about four years ago, at which point I had only just bought my first firearm. Until I started Rimfire Challenge and Steel Challenge I rarely shot guns and mainly focused on Baseball in High School. But during college, when I was not in any sports, I had the 'itch' to start another sport. Just by chance, I decided to buy my first firearm, a Ruger MKIV. There was a local range that hosted several matches, which is what started my journey.

Today, I run all Steel Challenge matches at that range, the Colfax Sportsmens Club, and compete at the highest level in both Steel Challenge and Rimfire Challenge. I recently achieved one of my biggest goals: winning the Rimfire Challenge World Championship (which I did with both Limited and Open). But I consider this only to be the beginning of my career in shoot sports.
